The Christmas season doesn’t end on December 25th. In the Church’s calendar it continues to unfold, reaching a climax at the Epiphany, when the Magi arrive with their gifts and Christ is revealed to the nations. Join the Psalterium Institute Chamber Choir as we keep the feast with sacred music spanning more than a thousand years.

The program moves from the Gregorian chant of the Christmas liturgies, through the numinous polyphony of the Renaissance masters, to choral music of our own time. Sung by a small ensemble of dedicated amateurs, this is music written to draw the heart toward the beauty of God made visible, a light shining in the darkness.

The Psalterium Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to forming singers and musicians in the great tradition of sacred music. This concert is an offering of that work, and an invitation to stay a little longer in the joy of Christmas.
